Ward was the earliest daughter born in MonroeLouisiana, on the 15th of April 1976. She attended a private Christian elementary school called Monroe Christian School. Ward was a student at Ouachita parish high school for secondary education. After that, she attended River Oaks High School the summer following her junior year. She was also a student at Northeast Louisiana University briefly after the completion of her degree. Ward began modeling when she was thirteen, leaving her school to go to New York. Her acting career started a few more years afterward. In the 1970s, she had a small part that was not credited in the soap opera daytime All My Children. Then she landed a short-lived role in NBC's prime-time teen drama Malibu Shores. Her role was Meg Cummings, a virgin in Sunset Beach in 1996.
